Country and Region: Spain – Rioja

Producer: Rioja Vega
Felipe Ugalde began his adventure in Haro, a small town in La Rioja Spain in 1882 with a family estate, owned and managed by himself. All these years later Felipe Ugalde’s legacy lives on.
Rioja Vega is developed according to the ‘chateaux’ concept with 70 hectares of vineyards surrounding the cellars. The soil here is rich with nutrients and an Atlantic climate which gives the wine a distinguishing character.
In growing and collecting this 100% Graciano, care for the fruit and respect for the environment have prevailed at all times with a careful selection in the vineyards, and a very low yield of 5,000 kg / ha. Minimal intervention winemaking, sensitive to the unique characteristics of this wine during its stabilization and aging process, all help to best show it´s unique character.
