The Gsell family moved to organic winemaking in 2007.
They represent about 10 hectares of vineyard on the famous hills of Bollenberg and also the grand cru of Pfingstberg and Spiegel. With the greatest of respect to the environment, they use a mix of tradition and modern winemaking in their vineyards and cellars.
Their Domain looks like spacious buildings surrounding a courtyard with the old cellar under the house dating back to 1691.
The propriety was acquired by Gsell ancestors in 1821, and since then, has always been a winemaker’s house. The domain is now operated by Nathalie and Julien Gsell.
The family’s vineyards represent about 10 hectares that have been organically farmed since 2007. The vineyards are situated on the limestone ill of the reputed Bollenberg, where a mediterranean flora is found.
The mix of traditional and evolutive methods are done on the vineyards and in the cellar to offer great fruity wines.
