Having dominated Spain’s seafood landscape for decades, The Oubina-Somoza family have taken a deepdive into the world of wine.
Val do Salnés is a historical place and known as the birthplace of the renowned Spanish Albarino. It’s here that Adegas Laureatus cultivate their grapes, grown on mature fines that give an unbeatable intensity of flavour. The warm microclimate and proximity to the sea give the grapes a perfect ripeness and a unique saltiness that makes its way into the wine.
Grapes are hand harvested and selected then pressed and fermented onsite. The combination of traditional and modern processes conserves quality and overall flavour. The Oubina-Somozas are passionate about their craft and control every aspect of the production process giving them total visibility on quality and the confidence to stand behind their ‘vine to cup’ ethos.
