WHAT MAKES A PRODUCT ORGANIC?
Organic foods cannot use any synthetic fertilisers or pesticides in their processing for three years prior to harvest. In terms of meat organic means raising animals in living conditions that allow them a natural and humane way of living that involves things like grazing on pasture. Another important aspect of this is not administering any kind of antibiotics or hormones to the animals. Aside from health benefits, organic products are also better for the environment as they are processed without using pesticides and fertilisers made of synthetic ingredients. Organic foods have to be certified by a recognised organic certification body. Our Italian charcuterie range is bio organic certified.

OUR ORGANIC CHARCUTERIE
The Deli Society Italian charcuterie range comes from a fourth-generation family business that we’ve partnered with. They invest continuously in animal welfare and new technologies that they’ve applied to their supply chains which results in transparent and responsible production. All their animals are kept and fed in large spaces with the highest animal welfare standards enacted. When it comes to organic charcuterie, they place emphasis on using organic meats sourced from animals that have been raised without use of antibiotics, hormones, or genetically modified organisms.

Consuming organic charcuterie offers consumers a choice to enjoy flavourful meats while supporting sustainable and ethical agricultural practices.
