THE STORY
From a family of winemakers settled in Saint Laurent des Arbes, on the other side of the Rhône, Bernard Duseigneur took over the Domaine in 2002. Previously an investment banker in the city, Bernard reconnected with his Mediterranean roots and continued in his father and brother, Jean and Frédéric's work.

Bernard has been in partnership with Philippe Faure-Brac since 2007. Philippe was elected the worlds best sommelier in 1992, and Bernard is privileged to be working with him  as one of the world's finest wine connoisseurs who also possesses a true passion for terroirs and winemaking.

Bernard sees winegrowing as a daily pleasure and a way of living in harmony with the the environment and fellow winemakers

The logo is of an Astrolabe, an ancient instrument that helped sailors navigate the seas by following the stars. It is represented on the labels and is meant to symbolise the influence of the cosmos on their biodynamic practices.
THE LAND
The terroir of Châteauneuf-du-pape has a wide variety of soils: red clays, limestone pebbles, sandstone sands of marine origin of deeper loams form the banks of the Rhone.m Each type of soil produces grapes with different characteristics, thus contributing to the amazing complexity of the wines. The main grapes grown are Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, the winning trio for Châteauneuf-du-pape.
