THE STORY
José Maria da Fonseca has been making wines since 1834, their longstanding history is the result of the passion the family shares for winemaking. They have preserved the memory and prestige of the founder all these years. They are highly aware of their responsibility being the oldest producer of table wine and Setúbal Moscatel in Portugal. The company follows a philosophy of permanent development, always investing in research and production, mixing the latest techniques in winemaking with the traditional methods used by their family for almost two centuries.
