The Ormarine terroir dates back nearly 2000 years, The history of Ormarine Cellar starts in 1922 when the winegrowers from Pinet gathered in a spirit of solidarity and formed a winegrowers' association. The Piquepoul variety is the starting point of their history when it was first quoted by the famous botanist J B Magnol. Official steps were undertaken in order to enhance the white wine produced in the terroir of Pinet.
