Ibérico Pork Presa

A steak unlike any other! Thick and juicy, this steak is one of the most revered cuts. Taken from the top of the loin it is leaner than the Pluma or Secreto. This cut can be distinguished by its tender bite and mouth-watering flavour. Coming from Iberian pigs, who roam free and live on a diet of acorns, the meat is provided with a complex flavour and marbled fat that melts in your mouth. When cooking, simply season with salt and pepper then either grill or sear in a pan.

Fantastic piece of meat! We seared it for about 4 minutes each side then put it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes which resulted in very tasty and tender meat. You don’t get this cut in many places- so it’s definitely worth buying from the Deli Society.

Wow! Just wow! I had not tried a presa before, but purchased this for a big family BBQ. Cooked on the cool side of the BBQ for about 30 to 40 minutes and then reverse seared it, the meat is so tender and full of flavour, I did it with a fresh salsa and a Chipotle mayonnaise which went down well but will be buying again when it's back in Stock!
